Thanks for all the comments on my last post! I just washed my kitten shirt, and am hoping it didn't shrink. I think I may out wear it this summer...maybe even today.
We didn't do much for the fourth, although I kind of liked it that way. Our favorite couple to hang out with flew out of state for the weekend so we had a BBQ all to ourselves. It was nice having leftovers for 3 days! I didn't have to cook at all. I did happen to make strawberry shortcake that was shared with the neighbors, and a cake for the fourth. So, I am about caked out for a while.
It's been pretty warm here the last few days. Our apartment thermostat has been at +80 all week, and we don't have air. So that means frequent trips to the swimming pool and a whole lot of nothing else. When it gets too warm in the apartment I can't function, I just find the nearest fan and sit in front of it.
Last night we took a little trip to the lake on base and fished for a little bit. It was nice and cool, and I got some nice pictures of the lake.
Tomorrow night I am going to the David Bazan show in San Diego, so I'm looking forward to that! Hope you all had a great holiday! Now I'm off to the pool again, I can't handle the heat!!

i am diggin' the patriotic feelings and girl your shirt diy is stellar! leftovers for days is my kinda thing, i love grabbing this and that from the fridge after big fests of fun like that.
gosh, when i used to live in Toronto the heat would be oppressive. the boyf & i used to head to McDonalds....i know weird right but honestly honey they have the best a/c in all the land. fall asleep in a back booth is what! baha ; )

We don't have air either! It's been so hot!
We also had an easy 4th of July, luckily we can see fireworks from our living room.
